WEEK 3
Day 11 (28/11/2022, Monday)
The work day mainly focused on dialogue for R.O.N.N.I.E, but also going around making sure everyone was on the same page. We have the demo presentation for our game the Friday of this week and so the entire team is preparing to make sure we have a good and functioning demo to show. Linus & I sat down coming with a plan for the presentation as having a fixed aim makes it easier to foresee that Friday goes well.
Day 12 (29/11/2022, Tuesday)
(Working from home)
I had a terrible headache so I decided to work from home. I mostly worked on dialogue and planned to have some for the showcase. I also worked on balancing the weapons and came up with more guns to include. We picked the room we will be using for the showcase and started preparing around it.
Day 13 (30/11/2022, Wednesday)
I went to school early today to work a bit in engine but the headache stayed and made it hard for me to work to I left a bit early. But while there added some debugs that can trigger temporary win condition on command as that system was yet to be finsihed.
Day 14 (01/12/2022, Thursday)
We started the day thinking we can get a good, final build by the end of the day and that was not how it went. We started testing earlier in the day to find a feel for the game and soon discovered a plethora of bugs that just were not on our side. I had planned to record some of the voice lines for R.O.N.N.I.E, as an example to show during the presentation but since we had our hands-full today, decided to push it for later and focused on getting a decent build. Unfortunately. we didn't get there by the end of the day. The team worked tirelessly and did every little thing they could do, which is always nice to see.
Day 15 (02/12/2022, Friday)
The day of the presentation, I spent the entire morning cooking up a presentation for Linus and I to present. The rest of the team worked hard tried to fix and package a good product and got a lot done before lunch. Linus and I held a presentation and showcased a taste of our final product and got good feedback. Great work by the team and the teachers seemed impressed by our progress and can't wait to finish and show the game. 50% done!
